Constitutional Supremacy Clause

The Constitution
Makes Federal law supreme
Over all the states

Some don't remember
And want to nullify laws
That they do not like

Haven't we done this
Back before the Civil War?
War destroyed Dixie

Nullification
Is a path to disunion
And then to chaos

  1. The Constitution
    Only applies to the laws
    Constitutional

    Nullification
    Fought slavery, draft, tarriff
    Protected Free speech

    Nullification
    Was hated by the South!
    Fugitive slave law?

    Tyranny despises
    limits on central power
    Freedom loves limits

    Nullification
Is the right of the people
    You should like it, man

    1. I think you forget
      John Calhoun and the tariff
      As well as others

      The South attempted
      Nullification only
      When it suited them

      Fugitive Slave Law
      They wanted to keep supreme
      Desegregation?

      Nullification
      Creates a situation
      That is dangerous

      The Articles of
      Confederation faltered
      On this very ground
